Fine complete and Rare JAFLE Jambiya Dagger from the Tihama Region, Yemen

JAFLE Jambiya daggers are similar to the silver mounted MADD jambiya daggers but usually coming with a heavy hide or leather short scabbard plain of any mounts. Like other jambiya daggers from the region are commonly having the handle made from horn or silver decorations influenced from surrounding regions. 

The exemplar offered here is of good quality. Classical blade of very good quality with strong central rib. The silver handle with long extended pommel sides is influenced from similar handles popular in Jezin, the Saudi town just across the border.  Original black leather scabbard.

Blade 61/2 inches (17 cm). Total 13 inches (33cm). Very good condition. Original authentic and rare, early 20 C. Jambiya
