This very early Chillanum style dagger is coming from the Deccan, India. Very few similar exemplar are known. A re-curving blade with a thickened tip. Ivory grip with steel cross guard and pommel shaped with the heads of mythological creatures (Yali ??) and steel D guard.
Blade 12 1/2 inches. Total 18 1/2 inches. Very good condition to age. Very minor damage to the steel mounts. Very rare.
