Very Good Silver Georgian Qama Dagger

Date: First quarter of the 20th C.










The Qama offered here is a very good classical example for silver and niello work, made in Georgia dated to the first quarter of the 29th C. . Blade with diamond cross section. The handle and scabbard heavy silver, finely and richly decorated with delicate chiseled and niello work. The back face is also lightly nielloed.
Blade 13 1/2 inches long (34 cm). Total length 18 inches (47 cm). Very good condition.
