Very Good Sewar Knife, Sumatra
445$ Exl. VAT
Origin: Sumatra
Date: First half of the 20 C.

The Sewar knife / dagger from Sumatra has quite a characteristic shape, however slightly different knives and use of different names (Bade Bade and Tumbok Lada to mention few) may cause some confusion as for the exact identification.
The Sewar offered here show the classical characteristic shape and dimension: Slightly down curving pamor blade with thickened base widening to a larger bolster. carved horn handle and wood scabbard with typical extending protrusion below. The scabbard is bound with many pairs of silver rings.
Blade 10 1/2 inches. Total length 14 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Authentic early 20C. Sumatran knife.
