Very Good Old Silver Caucasian Belt.

Not exactly a weapon but a fine example of Caucasian silver art, this silver belt is late 19 C., including 17 heavy silver  links, very finely chiseled and  nielloed including the buckle parts. The linbk are held together with thick double leather strips. Each link is stamped with a silver proof mark (seen below the outer leather strip) . Weight 980 grams.

Total length 33 inches. Very good condition. The leather holding strips are later.
