Khanjars  from the Ottoman empire are of endless number of shapes and style, all depends on the khanjar origin in the vast empire. Most of the khanjars will have a curved double edge blade with central ribs or central fullers and “I” shaped handle. So is the Khanjar offered here. A narrow double edged blade forged from pattern welded steel. The steel pattern is of rather low contrast and may be forged in the style known as twisted steel or Turkish Ribbon. Very unusual is thge blade cross section. Strong central rib on one face and deep fuller on the other. whole  silver handle and silver covered scabbard. The  scabbard is signed on the back side with the Tughra, the insignia of the Sultan in  thrown.
