Very Fine Hanshee Khukuri With Rare Horn Handle

The Hanshee is an earlier form of the Khukuri , 18 and early 19 C. It is characterized by the slender blade and long hand and a half handle. I most of the Hanshee  Khukuri’s  the spine and the back of the handle are in continuous arc line curvature. The Hanshee  are quite rare and most sought after by Khukuri collectors.

The Hanshee shown below is a very fine exemplar. Very long blade, finely fullered with multiple fullers along the spine and decorated with gold inlaid rondels. Silver bolsters and horn handle, most probably R horn.
Blade 16 inches, total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Very minor horn chips on the pommel side of the handle. Authentic and rare 19 C. fine Khukuri
