Very Fine and Rare Greek / Balkan Shamshir Sword

This unusual fine shamshir sword is coming from Epirus located in North West Greece or neighboring Albania or other Balkan states.
Fine deeply curved blade, forged from Sham watered steel ( forging common to various regions of the ottoman empire). The silver handle is bound with tight twisted silver wire , silver rosettes, and silver pommel in the shape of a open mouth monster head with red stones eyes (May be a snake head). Gilded cross guard and a short silver chain connecting the cross guard to the pommel tip. heavy silver scabbard, deeply chased on its entire length with gilded and chased bands for carrying rings. The top part of the scabbard is enameled in green color. Green enamel is also common to sword and daggers from the region.
Blade 28 inches long. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition. The hinged top cover of the scabbard forte is missing. Authentic and rare 19C. shamshir
