Silver Fibulae from Tiznit Morocco

Not exactly a weapon but a classical silver and enameled work from South Morocco, very similar to silver works on koumaya daggers from the region

Known in Morocco as Tizerzai, fibulas are essential components of female adornment and are worn in pairs as cloak fasteners.
The almost pair of Tizerzai offered here are coming from Tiznit, South West Morocco, a center of silver work for jewelry, silverware and daggers mounts. Characterized by the yellow green enamel decoration.

Inverted triangles supposedly represented the woman body, 7  X7 1/2 inches (18 X 19.5 cm)  with a long 5 inches (12.5 cm) top extension. 440 grams. Very good condition. Losses to one of the enamels domes. Authentic ethnic piece, first quarter of the 20 C.
