Very Early Throwing Knife from the Sara

Origin: Chad, Africa

Date: Early 20C.

This form of throwing knife is may be the earliest form. Simple, almost straight and probably very effective. It is common to the Sara people of Chad and the Central African Republic. It is 33 inches long, well forged blade stylishly decorated with hammered spots. Grip bound with braided leather strips. Very good condition.
