Henry Moser (1844 – 1923), the son of a Swiss watchmaker was sent by his father to St Petersburg to set up a local watch making enterprise. He preferred traveling in Asia more than the “boring” watch making and through a series of extensive trips he visited Central Asia, India and China as well as other countries and purchased a considerable number of Asian antique arms and armor.

His collection, now in the Historical Museum of Bern in Switzerland is considered as the best representation of Asian weapons.

Several books of the collection were published, but the most sought after is this large format album, 47 X 53 cm, 44 black and white and colored plates of this fantastic collection. 1912 addition, copy # 25 out of the 100 copies in French (300 copies altogether). Signed by Henry Moser and devoted to Marguerite Moser.

Only 13 plated shown below. Original cover and original wood box (not shown). Perfect condition.
