Obsidian Dagger from Admiralty Islands

The people of the Admiralty islands N.E of New Guinea uses Obsidian for their blades known locally as gudom or katjo. From there come this rare and very early (around 1900) knife / Dagger with an obsidian blade. Wood handle bound with natural fiber and painted black and red, and decorated with small shells. The blade is attached to the handle with black resin.
Blade (unfortunately with tip missing) is 3 1/2 inches long/ Total 11 inches. Good condition.
