Long Dagger / Short Sword of the Malinke / Mandingo

The Mandingo people from West Africa (Also known by many other names) uses a variety of daggers. A less common one is the dagger with heavy Bulbous pommel and long blade. A such very long dagger , actually a shot sword is offered below
Steel blade of flat diamond cross section with black wood handle and cast bronze pommel cap and collar, set with round brass inserts. Blade length 17 1/2 inches. Total length 23 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. Authentic late 19C. dagger / sword.
