Fine Small Turkish / Ottoman Trousse

Trousses (set of several blades and accessories) are a common in the Ottoman cultures and comes in a variety of combinations: Several knives and/or knives and forks and similar combinations. Size also ranges from 10 inches of the smaller ones to 25 inches and more of the bigger ones. The bigger sets where used as hunting utensils. The smaller ones for eating.
The Ottoman trousse offered here comprises two small knives with. well made blades with silver flower inlay decoration (true inlay). Black horn grips with silver grip strap and silver bolsters. Silver mounted scabbard with two separate compartments. The locket and chape are signed with the Sultan Tughra. A fine complete 19C. set.
Blades are 4 and 4 1/2 inches long. Total length in scabbard 10 inches. Very good condition.
