ABAURAGIM (АБАУРАГИМ) is a famous sword maker from Dagestan active from the late 19C. to the early 20C. He made this Kindjal / Qama sword in a Georgian style. Well made narrow fullered blade signed with the maker name. The grip and the scabbard are whole silver (marked with silver proof mark), very finely deeply chiseled and nielloed in the best decoration styles of Georgian kindjals. The back of the scabbard is also marked with Georgian name.
Blade length 13 1/2 inches (34 cm). Total length in scabbard 19 1/2 inches (49 cm). Very good condition. Blade as well as all silver parts with original untouched light patina. Fine, well made exemplar by a known sword master, very early 20C.
