Fine Silver Georgian Qama Dagger 1914
The Qama offered here is a very fine example for silver and niello work, made in Georgia and dated to 1914. Classical nultifullers. The handle and scabbard heavy silver, finely and richly decorated with delicate filigree work of twisted silver wire and niello work. The back face is richly nielloed and signed: Abramidze (A well known sword maker) and Platon Gapridjidze (The owner).
Blade 13 1/2 inches long. Total length 19 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Minor light dents on the back side of the scabbard.
