Fine Large and Massive Bugis Keris Dagger

Bugis (Buginese) people are the biggest ethnic group from Sulawesi (Celebes) Island. They carry a very typical Keris dagger: Rather short with massive blade, scabbard with somewhat square lines and a pistol grip handle.
This fine Bugis Keris Dagger is late, mid 20C. but of large dimensions, very well made and with massive fullered blade. Impressive grained wood handle and scabbard of classical Buginese form. Ivory tip on the scabbard.
blade 14 inches long, Total Length 18 inches. Next to perfect condition.
