Choora or  Karud – an endless discussion. It does not really matter. These elegantly designed short daggers with the slender acute blade are coming from the famous Khyber Pass between Pakistan and Afghanistan. They are carried by the Mahsud people residing in this area.

A classical example with a strong blade reinforced by a thick spine and elegant edge. I grips, brass grip strap and copper bolsters.  Outstanding scabbard with pierced brass mounts, uprising chape tip and decorative brass chains.

Blade length 9 1/2 inches (24 cm). Total length 14 1/2 inches (37 cm). Very good condition, Authentic original elegant and complete dagger. Late 19 C.
