Fine and Complete Ngombe Shield

The Ngombe people residing near the Obangi river on the North West region of DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) use large shields made from rattan fibers in a dense construction plaited on wood frame with a rear wood plate carved as handle. The shield is decorated with painted black and brown geometrical design.
We offer for sale a fine and large such Ngombe shield in excellent condition. 57 inches long, 20 inches wide. Very good condition. First half of the 20 C.
