Exceptional Sundang / Moro Kris Sword with Pierced

Sundang swords, sometimes referred to as Kalis, or Moro sword are most commonly found in Mindanao, Philippines but are also spread around from Malaya in the west to Moro Land in the east. All with small variations that make exact identification not easy. The Moro Sundang swords are usually larger and heavier than their Malay sisters as the case may be in the sword offered here.
The mid 20C. Sundang sword offered here has an exceptional massive blade, half waved with double “Elephant trunk” edge and finely pierced at its forte. One silver clamp hold the blade in position. Wood handle with a Cockatoo style pommel and with beautifully chsed silver panel and silver collar. Whole wood scabbard with heavy silver tip.
Blade 19 inches. Total length 24 inches. Very Good condition. An authentic and impressive sword.
