The Chokwe people reside mainly in Angola. They are known to be great artisans, famous for their craving in wood, bone and ivory.

The Chokwe clubs and scepters are different from other African clubs. They are shorter and lighter with a typical head carved with series of deep lines in alternating directions. A typical Chokwe club is offered here with a square head and of  classical carving

Head 3 1/2 inches. total length20 inches. Very good condition with very minor wood chips.
