Ceremonial Dual Head Axe, North India

This impressive axe is dual head polished steel blades nicely chiseled in floral pattern. The top of the steel haft is mounted with long leaf shaped spear head ending with a long spike and etched in a pattern imitating pattern welded steel. Etched pattern like this is commonly found on Indian axe hafts.
Blades 10 1/2 inches long, 5 inches wide. Haft length 27 inches plus 8 inches spike head. Condition very good plus. Impressive late 19C. ceremonial axe.
