Early short sword from Tibet. with single edged blade, possibly laminated. Chased brass hilt of classic form with wood grip covered with leather. Scabbard of steel U-frame chiseled and engraved all around and held at the top with sewed red ribbon. Wood liners inside the frame covered with ribbed black fabric.
Blade 15 inches (38 cm). Total length21 inches (53 cm). Very good condition. Minor loss to the leather cover of the grip. The fabric cover of the wood liners is lightly worn and repaired.
