19 C. Indian Powder Horn

Horn was used as a base for black powder since the introduction of fire arms and it is found in variety of shapes and sizes in all cultures around the globe.
The powder horn offered here Indian, first half of the 19 C. Made of black horn mounted with a brass head and brass mouth. A steel spring loaded lever is fixed to the horn to open and close it. The end of the horn closed with a brass and steel plug (fixed).
Length 10 inches (25 cm). Good condition to age. Few solder repairs on the brass mounts.
