A Tulwar (Talwar) battle sword with single-edged blade and double edged at its tip. Blade is fullered and widening to its maximum at the last third and a ricasso at the blade forte. Steel handle with gold koftgari work on the grip and chiseled silver panels on the cross guard and langets. both finely executed with floral decoration. The handle disc is also decorated with koftgari work en-suite with the grip. The upper side of the disc and the pommel cap are inlaid with a leaf decoration. A steel eyelet is mounted on the pommel cap.
Blade 28 1/2 inches 72 cm). Total length 33 1/2 inches (85 cm). Very good condition. Blade blackened and polished. No scabbard.
