18 C. Italian Hunting Dagger

This fine dagger is Italian, late 18C. or a bit earlier. The blade is double edged  with a deep central fuller. The ricasso on both blade faces is finely chiseled with images of a lion on one side and a bird on the other side. The bolster is steel and the grip is composed of horn sectors of different colors, brass ribs and brass collar and pommel cap.

Blade  8 1/2  inches long,  Total length 12 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. Nice and elegant hunting dagger.
