Description

This set include two knives, a short one and a long one. May be a hunting set. The blades are forged from high carbon steel and inlaid with small silver stars on both faces of the blades. Chased silver handles and chased scabbard mounts, in the same decoration style.

The blade decoration and the handles style and shapes suggest a Balkan origin, Specifically Greek. Probably late 18 – early 19 C.

Blades 10 and 8 inches (25 and 20 cm). Total length of the set is 17 inches (43 cm). Very good condition. Minor losses to the knives bolsters and the scabbard locket.
