Pair of Early 18 C. South India Spear Heads

Pair of almost identical whole steel spear heads. South India, probably Mysore. Late 17 – Early 18 C, around 1700 but may be  earlier. Heavy blades of cruciform cross section with leaf shaped forms on pierced and chiseled Yali heads at the blade base. Steel sockets with raised collars.

Blades 8 ½ inches (22 cm). Total length 16 ½ inches (41 and 42 cm). Very good plus condition.  Fine metal craft. Rare authentic spears.
