This large sickle shaped sword is common between the Benge people from Congo and the Central Africa Republic. Mostly used in ceremonial processing, altjough shrap and solid enough tobe used at warfare as well.
A 23 inches long 3 inches wide bladem nicely fullered and engraved. Good age patina. Handle bound with brass wires and brass strips on reptile skin. Early 20C. Very impressive sword.
