Very Fine Tibetan Short Sword tsep-sa - 14571

A vrty fine Tibetan short sword, locally known as tsep-sa . Blade of typical Tibetan shaped but short, 16 inches long, more of a dagger than a sword, but beautifully laminated and folded in the pattern known a Hairpin Folding. The same pattern appears on the long and heavy Tibetan swords. The wood handle is covered with Sting Ray skin and set with numerous red Corals and green Malachite stones. Silver and brass finely chiseled pommel. The scabbard is Silver brass and copper combination with the top part decorated in a similar style to the grip. Total length 21 inches. Very good condition. A very fine sword.
